Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleNATO condemns Iran’s “targeting” of member country Turkey after Ankara said a missile heading towards its airspace had been destroyed by alliance defence systems.
“We condemn Iran’s targeting of Türkiye. NATO stands firmly with all allies, including Türkiye, as Iran continues its indiscriminate attacks across the region,” NATO spokeswoman Allison Hart says, using the country’s official name.
“Our deterrence and defence posture remains strong across all domains, including when it comes to air and missile defence,” she adds.
