Police keep apart anti-Israel activists, counterprotesters in London
London police kept anti-Israel demonstrators from clashing with counterprotesters yesterday at Trafalgar Square, The Daily Mail reports.
The pro-Israel counterprotesters unveiled a banner reading “Hezbollah like Hamas is also a Terrorist Organization,” while one of them called the other side “terrorist supporters” and chanted “Hamas are terrorists” with a megaphone, the report says.
One of the anti-Israel activists responded by using a siren on his megaphone to muffle the counterprotest. London Metropolitan Police officers stood between the groups to prevent any incidents, The Daily Mail says.
