Special flight set to return many senior doctors, nurses and other medical workers to Israel

The Health Ministry reports that a special rescue flight is expected to return approximately 100 senior doctors, approximately 80 nurses and additional medical workers from Athens to Israel tomorrow.
Among those returning to Israel are surgeons, intensive care physicians and anesthesiologists.
About 1,145 medical staff across professions are abroad, including 567 doctors (out of some 35,000 licensed doctors), 70 interns, 197 nurses, 139 health professionals, 27 staff members, 37 administrators and 107 other medical personnel.
The ministry has already arranged for dozens of medical staff to return on ZIM ships, with many more expected to return, as needed and depending on the situation.
