Top Hamas team said in Cairo to discuss escalation in Gaza, transition to 2nd stage of Trump plan
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA delegation of senior Hamas officials has arrived in Cairo to meet Egyptian intelligence officials and discuss the recent escalation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip, the Saudi Al-Hadath outlet reports, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter.
The team is also expected to meet representatives of mediator countries — Egypt, Qatar and the United States — to discuss “ways to contain the escalation” and the transition to the second stage of US President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza’s future, the report says.
