UN says 100,000 people fled Tehran in the war’s first 2 days
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe UN refugee agency, basing its estimates on Iranian officials, says some 100,000 people fled Tehran in the war’s first two days.
It also says around 1,000 to 2,000 vehicles per day are reported to be leaving the capital, mostly heading north.
Geneva-based UNHCR spokesman Babar Baloch says the latest reports today indicate no increase in cross-border movements linked to the recent conflict, “but the situation remains fluid.”
