US reissues ‘worldwide caution’ alert to American travelers due to Mideast tensions
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe US State Department reissues a warning to American travelers across the entire Middle East due to rising tensions and fighting with Iran.
Issuing a “Worldwide Caution” alert, the State Department tells Americans currently in the Middle East to “exercise caution and heightened vigilance” and be prepared for the possibility of canceled flights and travel disruptions.
It also calls on all Americans to reconsider any travel to the Middle East.
“Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target other US interests overseas or at locations associated with the United States and Americans throughout the world,” it adds.
It issued a similar alert several days ago.
