Ya’alon’s ‘circle’ says he tried to derail submarine deal
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePeople close to former defense minister Moshe Ya’alon say that he sought to dissuade Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from going ahead with a deal to purchase three German submarines, Channel 2 news reports.
According to a report by Channel 10 aired on Tuesday night, Shimron serves as the representative of a German company trying to sell Israel military submarines that Netanyahu has been pushing for Israel to buy against the will of the IDF and former defense minister Moshe Ya’alon.
Contacted by The Times of Israel, Ya’alon declined to comment on the deal.
