Automated spin: ‘Barkat will run buses on Shabbat’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAs the final minutes of Election Day wind down, some candidates may be getting desperate. A Jerusalemite reports on Facebook that she received an automated call from a voice claiming to be Yair Lapid urging her to vote for Nir Barkat, who will “develop Jerusalem like Paris and London, including stores, cinemas, performances and public transportation on Shabbat.”
The call, she surmises, was meant to scare her into doing just the opposite.
