Hagel reiterates US support for Israel to Ya’alon
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS defense secretary Chuck Hagel speaks with Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, telling him he is concerned about the possibility of a further escalation in Gaza but voicing US support for Israel in protecting its civilians.
Ya’alon updates Hagel on the situation in Israel, while the defense secretary reiterates the US administration’s condemnation of the rocket fire from Gaza and its support for Israel’s right to defend itself.
Hagel says both sides to make every every to protect civilians and restore calm in the area.
