Palestinian child killed, 2 injured in West Bank blast caused by unexploded ordnance, IDF says

A Palestinian child was killed and two others were injured by a blast caused by previously unexploded IDF ordnance near a military shooting range in the Jordan Valley a short while ago, according to preliminary reports received by the army.
The IDF says troops were dispatched to the scene and provided medical attention to the Palestinians who were injured.
The military says that the children were playing with the ammunition. “The IDF emphasizes that this area is a firing zone and entry into it is strictly prohibited and highly dangerous,” the army adds.
The IDF says the incident is under further investigation.
