US President Donald Trump says US forces will be leaving Iraq because “we don’t think we need the military there anymore.”
“What we do have is the oil companies are all going in now, and they’re doing partnerships with Iraq,” Trump says during an Oval Office meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi, who began the meeting by declaring that US forces will complete their withdrawal from his country by September 30.
