Young man drowns at Tel Aviv’s Bograshov beach

Authorities say man, believed to be from East Jerusalem, went for a swim on Thursday and disappeared

A man in his 20s, believed to be from East Jerusalem, was found dead overnight Friday at Bograshov beach in Tel Aviv. Authorities said he drowned.

Police believe the man entered the water Thursday evening with his girlfriend and disappeared. Magen David Adom paramedics pronounced him dead after arriving at the scene early Saturday morning.

His body was to be transferred to the L. Greenberg National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv for further investigation.
