IDF says 2 killed in Lebanon strike were Hezbollah operatives rebuilding infrastructure

The IDF confirms a targeted strike earlier today in the Khirbet Selm area of southern Lebanon, saying the two reported killed were Hezbollah operatives.
According to the IDF, the pair were involved in efforts to rehabilitate Hezbollah’s military infrastructure, with one of the operatives identified as an engineering specialist leading the group’s reconstruction activities. The IDF says that its actions were a violation of the established understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
The military adds that it will continue to act to remove any threat and protect the State of Israel.
Earlier, Lebanese media reported that two individuals were killed, and one seriously injured in an IDF strike in the village of Kfardounin, located about two kilometers (1.2 miles) from the village of Khirbet Selm.
