Israel is looking into private companies to distribute aid in northern Gaza as part of an attempt to take away a core element of Hamas’s civil rule, an Israeli official tells The Times of Israel.

Israeli companies will not be used, but Israel is looking into using an American security company, around which the IDF would provide a security perimeter, says the official.

The hope is to eventually get Arab countries on board to distribute humanitarian aid, adds the official.
