Katz fires back at Treasury budget chief over resignation announcement

Finance Minister Israel Katz fires back at budget department chief Shaul Meridor, after the latter announces his resignation in protest of the government’s economic policies.

Katz accuses Meridor of acting out of “narrow political interests” and publicly criticizing his economic policies. He says Meridor’s resignation is therefore a “right and necessary move,” while vowing to soon appoint a replacement.
