Lebanese army redeploys to southern towns amid framework deal with Israel

The Lebanese army has redeployed forces to the southern towns of Froun and Burj Qalaouiyah, as part of the framework with Israel, according to local media reports.
Both towns are located outside of the IDF’s south Lebanon buffer zone, meaning that no Israeli soldiers withdrew from the area for the Lebanese army to enter.
The Froun area is the first of two pilot zones that the Lebanese army will enter as part of the agreement with Israel. The second zone is in the Zawtar al-Sharqiyah area, where Israeli forces are currently stationed, and will be required to withdraw from.
