The Lebanese channel Al-Mayadeen reports that a planned meeting between US envoy Steve Witkoff and Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, which was scheduled to take place today in Turkey, has been canceled. According to the report, this was due to Israeli pressure.

There is no outside confirmation of the report at this stage.

This would have been the second meeting between the two, after they met on October 9 in Egypt, just hours before the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
