Minors held in suspected gang rape of 16-year-old in Eilat released to house arrest
The Ashkelon Magistrate’s Court releases five minors suspected of involvement in the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl in the Red Sea resort town of Eilat to house arrest.
Police, who oppose the suspects’ release, ask the court to delay the move.
“They were involved directly in the rape. Their place is in jail, not at home,” police sources are quoted saying by Channel 12 news.
Earlier, police said they intended to charge six people in the case.
