Turks view Israel as ‘greatest threat’ to nation
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleOver 40 percent of the Turkish public view Israel as the greatest threat to the country’s security, according to a survey conducted among 1,000 people in April and published last week by Istanbul’s Kadir Has University.
The US is also viewed negatively, with 35.3 percent of respondents saying it was the country most threatening to Turkey.
A significant portion of the population — 38.9 percent — assert that “Turkey has no friends” in the international community.
