Islamic Jihad leader declares ‘end of another round of conflict’ with Israel

Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Ziad Nakhaleh declares the “end of another round of conflict with the Zionist project,” in reference to Israel.
In a speech tonight after the 10.pm. ceasefire came into effect, following five days of fighting, Nakhaleh says the terror group “lost many of our dear brothers” and “we part from them with pride,” as cited in Hebrew-language media.
“A nation whose leaders died as shahids [martyrs] will never be defeated,” says Nakhaleh, who is based in Syria where the Iranian-backed terror group also operates.
