US President Donald Trump threatens to destroy Iranian ships that try to cross the Strait of Hormuz as Washington’s blockade of the channel comes into effect.
Trump first claims in a Truth Social post that Iran’s navy has been “obliterated” before saying that the US has not hit Tehran’s “fast attack ships” because it did not deem them a threat.
“Warning: If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at sea,” Trump writes.
