Truck driver kills man, flees scene near Revadim

Man is crushed under a truck, left to die in second deadly accident on Highway 3 this week

A man was killed in a traffic accident on Highway 3 near Kibbutz Revadim, in the south of Israel, on Thursday when a truck collided with his car, Israel Radio reported. The truck driver fled the scene, leaving the critically injured victim pinned inside his car. Medics who arrived at the scene were unable to extract the man from his crushed vehicle in time, and were forced to pronounce his death.

Police found the truck driver shortly afterward, and detained him for questioning.

It was the second deadly accident on Highway 3 this week. On Sunday, in similarly rainy and windy conditions, one woman was killed and several dozen were injured near Nahal Sorek when a bus collided with a truck.
