Iran’s top negotiator warns Tehran won’t tolerate ‘repeated violation’ of ceasefire

Iran’s top negotiator and parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, issues a cryptic warning that Iran won’t tolerate what it views as “repeated violation” of the US-Iran ceasefire, in a Farsi-language post on X.
“We have upended the equation of a ceasefire [existing] on paper and [its] repeated violation on the ground. So long as you lack a genuine willingness to build trust, Iran’s response will remain the same,” he writes.
Tehran announced earlier today that it would halt attacks on Israel, barring any further “aggression” by Israel in Lebanon — which it insists be part of the US-Iran truce — a threat Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel “categorically rejects.”
