Katsav to get seven-hour break from prison

Convicted rapist and former president receives permission to attend son’s wedding

Convicted rapist and former president Moshe Katsav has been approved for a seven-hour furlough on Sunday, May 20, so that he can attend his son’s wedding.

Katsav’s temporary release was not opposed by police or prison services.

The prisoner will be returned to his cell at the end of his day off.
